About St. Joseph Formation House (Novitiate)- Makunganya

St. Joseph Novitiate was inaugurated in 2012 as a formation house for the stage of propaedeutic. As the number of philosophy students because very small, it was thought wise to combine the Propaedeutic and philosophy students.
►The formative year of the Novitiate started on 5th August 2023. The year was started with retreat guided by Fr. Mathew Ouma from 11th to 15th September 2023.
► During the current formative year, the novitiate has been visited by various Consolata Missionaries including FR. Mathews Odhiambo; the General Councilor responsible of basic Formation in the Insitute.

THE MISSION
► The First mission of the Novitiate is work on the Formation program as established in the Ratio Formationis and concretized in the Community project of life.
►The Novices are also engaged in Pastoral programs in the Parish especially to accompany the Small Christians Communities, Youths, Children, altar boys and Pastoral work in the Secondary Schools within the Jurisdiction of the Parish. The evaluation from the novices and the communities where they do apostolate has been positive.
► there has been efforts to integrate Novitiate community and the neighbors.
